Our client is seeking a Head Of Data And Analytics to oversee and manage the company’s growing data business. In this role you will oversee forecasting and analysis and ensure the quality of data and analytics products and services and manage the data team.

Note: This is a permanent hybrid role - 4 days in the Houston Galleria area office, 1 day remote.

This role involves managing several projects including the rollout of Tableau Prep and Tableau Dashboard to existing clients, the development of new data sets and analytics to expand the business, transitioning existing forecasting and economics models from Excel to Tableau Prep, working across internal businesses to grow database and data offerings, and integrating data and analytics products into our website. The Head Of Data And Analytics will also provide leadership to the data and analytics team, with several direct reports responsible for generating data sets and forecasts.

The data includes short- and long-term supply/demand forecasts for LNG and LPG, historical and forecast prices, shipping rates, asset databases and product trade flows. The Head Of Data And Analytics must develop familiarity with the data and dashboards and be able to perform audits and QA before rolling out the clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree – in a related field and/or relative experience and certifications.
• Project management skills – In this role you will be leading a team developing new data sources and products for the LNG business. The projects include understanding data, managing database decisions, running modeling in Excel and/or Tableau Prep and developing data visualizations in Tableau.
• Team Leadership – In this role you will work with a team of analysts to develop their skills and improve productivity. Prior leadership experience is required.
• Energy Industry Experience – Energy industry data experience including assets, company ownership, price series, etc. is required for this role. Role requires the ability to develop a deep understanding of LNG market data to work with database and data visualization lead for new business development. Prior knowledge of LNG industry is highly preferred.
• Technical Proficiencies – Strong knowledge of Excel, Excel Modeling, Programming in VBA, and Tableau.
