Location: Springfield, IL Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Contact insurance companies to verify insurance benefits using a structured list of questions.
• Process insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
• Verify insurance information, eligibility, deductibles, copays, and timely filing requirements.
• Review and enter procedure codes using the company's claims processing system.
• Perform accurate data entry using 10-key and alphanumeric entry.
• Communicate professionally with insurance representatives by phone and email.
• Maintain detailed records while meeting productivity and accuracy goals.
• Work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Support claims processing for an Early Intervention program serving children ages 0-3.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in insurance, medical billing, claims processing, healthcare administration, customer service, or office administration is preferred.
• Medical claims or insurance billing experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of deductibles, copays, and insurance verification is helpful.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and email.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Accurate 10-key and alphanumeric data entry skills.
• College coursework or a degree is a plus but not required.
