MRI Technologist

Location: Charlottesville, VA
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Thursday | 8:00 AM-6:00 PM
Setting: On-Site

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to established imaging protocols.

• Perform imaging of the spine, joints, and musculoskeletal system.

• Operate and safely utilize specialized standing/weight-bearing MRI equipment.

• Complete MRI safety screening and follow all applicable safety procedures.

• Properly position and communicate with patients throughout examinations.

• Explain procedures and help patients feel comfortable during imaging.

• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.

• Follow quality-control and equipment procedures.

• Work collaboratively with physicians, radiologists, and other clinical staff.

• Participate in training and ongoing development related to specialized MRI technology.

Qualifications

• Previous MRI Technologist experience is preferred, but candidates with limited or no MRI experience may be considered.

• Appropriate MRI/imaging certification or credentials, as applicable.

• Understanding of basic MRI safety and patient positioning.

• Strong patient-care and communication skills.

• Ability to follow imaging protocols accurately.

• Comfortable learning and working with specialized imaging technology.

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a clinical environment.
