Field Welding Foreman

Hanover Iron Works, Inc. is seeking a skilled Field Welding Foreman to join our team. Our team works on exciting construction projects installing stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

As a Field Welding Foreman, you will lead your crew for installation of stairs, rails and miscellaneous metals.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing skills vital for the installation of stairs, rails and misc. metals
• Coordinating daily activities with General Contractor
• Reading and layout in accordance with blueprints
• Instructing and organizing crews, tools, materials and installation of stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals
• Ensuring crew members have proper certifications, are qualified to operate equipment and/or tools and follow job-site safety regulations
• Completing daily field reports and vehicle inspection reports
• Being responsible for the timely completion of Daily Field reports, Safety reports, Time and Material tickets and any other documents required by the General Contractor
• Serving as Company's Safety representative on-site

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the miscellaneous metals field for a minimum of 2+ years preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, Tool-Box Shop Talks and safety procedures, Operator's Manuals and maintenance instructions
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Understanding of angles and degrees
• Working knowledge of AWS D1.1. and the following processes, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and GTAW
• Current welding certifications or ability to pass weld test
