Registered Nurse - PACU

This position involves working in a PACU environment. It is essential to manage preoperative, postoperative, and observation patients. The average patient volume is 60-80 patients daily. Patient ratios are 1:3 for pre-op, 1:2 for Phase I, and 1:3 for Phase II. Candidates must read and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage cardiac drips, and provide discharge instructions. There may be responsibilities with intubated patients or assisting with intubation. Experience recovering post-catheterization, bronchoscopies, and interventional radiology patients is highly preferred. CNA candidates should have experience with blood sugar checks, IV removals, wound cleaning, and restocking supplies. Collaboration within the department is encouraged; team support is essential. Additional support includes charge nurses, management, and CRNAs. Technology used includes EMR systems, IV pumps, and medication dispensing systems. Floating between Phase I and Phase II recovery areas may occur. There is no weekend rotation or call requirements for this role. Approval for time off is limited to 4 days. Scrubs should be in solid colors without logos or graphics.
