Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Praxis Title & Escrow is expanding into the Dallas/Southlake market and seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its growing team. The company has written more than $1 billion in title insurance, with a strong focus on commercial real estate transactions, including multi-property and multi-state closings across retail, land, mixed-use, multifamily, industrial, and office assets. Position Overview The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal will play a key role in supporting complex commercial real estate transactions from initial due diligence through closing and post-closing. This role requires significant commercial real estate experience, ideally gained through a law firm, title company, lender, or commercial real estate organization. Working closely with attorneys, lenders, clients, escrow agents, title companies, and other transaction parties, the Paralegal will coordinate documentation, funds, deadlines, and closing requirements to ensure seamless and accurate transactions. Key Responsibilities Support complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, development projects, and multi-property portfolio transactions. Draft and review escrow instructions, closing checklists, settlement statements, closing statements, and other transaction-related documentation. Review title commitments, exception documents, surveys, and due diligence materials, coordinating with attorneys and title professionals to resolve outstanding issues. Coordinate earnest money deposits, escrow funds, lender proceeds, signature documents, and closing deliverables with escrow agents and transaction parties. Maintain transaction files, monitor critical deadlines, communicate status updates, and support post-closing activities, including recording and final document distribution. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial real estate paralegal or in a similar transactional real estate position. Experience supporting complex commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings, refinancings, and development projects. Strong knowledge of title commitments, escrow procedures, closing documentation, settlement statements, and commercial real estate transaction processes. Ability to independently manage multiple transactions and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and strong client service.
