Travelers would stay on days and shifts per the contract.\n Holiday Requirements:If it is on normal scheduled day, will work it\n Floating Requirements:No, only to the different areas of x-ray and for portables in this facility\n About Facility:\n \n How many licensed beds: CMC 874\n Level I Trauma; Level 1 Pediatric Trauma\n Teaching Hospital\n Chest Pain Center\n Stroke Center\n \n Department Information:\n \n Average patients/day: 350-400\n How many X-ray suites:\n \n OR: 40 ORs w/ 12 C-arms and 2 O-arms available\n Main Level (4th floor): 2 x-ray rooms, 3 fluoro rooms\n ED: 2 rooms\n 15 Portables\n \n \n Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years of acute care experience. Need some trauma level experience (Level I, II, or III)\n \n Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes, if they have they trauma facility experience\n \n Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:\n \n Adults and Pediatrics (including neonates) from ED, ICUs, nursing units and outpatients across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnosis\n This is a teaching facility, so will see high acuity patients and situations\n Will rotate shift-by-shift for area stationed (ED, OR, Main)\n \n Required License, National Certification, Certs:\n \n BLS\n ARRT-R\n \n Skills required:\n \n General X-ray: imaging of head, neck, spine, extremities, abdomen, hands, feet, chest. Must be comfortable with trauma patients. Portables at bedside\n OR: spinal, ortho, general surgery, neuro, and peds. Need to be comfortable with the majority of these specialties.\n C-arm experience required. O-arm experience preferred.\n EPIC experience required\n Soft Skills: Confident of their clinical skill sets with ability to work in a fast paced, high patient acuity environment. Good communication skills and attitude of helpfulness and teamwork strongly preferred. Depending on experience, could be asked to precept x-ray students.\n \n Support Available:\n \n Lead Tech\n Supervisor 24/7 – helps with staffing\n Manager\n Will work with MD residents and fellows\n Always other Rad Techs available:\n \n Days: 22\n Mids: 11\n Nights: 6\n Weekend Days: 12\n Weekend Nights: 6\n \n RT 24/7\n Rapid Response/Code Team\n Radiologists are always on site\n Transporter for the department\n \n Technology/Equipment:\n \n EMR: EPIC – required\n Department specific Equipment: Shimadzu RadSpeed general rad room, Konica and Shimadzu portables, Philips C-arm, Client O-arm\n \n Floating: No, only to the different areas of x-ray and for portables in this facilityOrientation (facility and unit):\n \n NEO: Facility tour, departmental tour with introductions.\n Up to 5 days max departmental orientation but flexible based on needs of traveler\n \n Scheduling:\n \n Weekend Rotations: No rotations between weekends and weekdays. Travelers would stay on days and shifts per the contract.\n Call requirement: None\n Holiday Expectations: If it is on normal scheduled day, will work it\n Approval of RTO: Manager approval\n Shift times: Refer to requisition for shift/schedule\n Schedule cycle: Traveler contract are 13 weeks and travelers would work the same shift and times as agreed upon in the contract.\n \n Other notes:\n \n Scrub Color: Black.
