Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its established small animal team. Caring for dogs and cats, the hospital has proudly served the San Antonio community since 1948, providing compassionate, comprehensive veterinary care. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide comprehensive medical care across wellness, preventive medicine, diagnostics, advanced care, surgery, urgent care, and walk-in appointments. You will build lasting relationships with clients, diagnose and treat medical conditions, educate pet owners on treatment plans, and collaborate with the veterinary and support teams to deliver exceptional patient care. The role offers a varied surgical caseload, including spays and neuters, soft tissue surgery, CCL repair, TPLO surgery, mass removal, laparoscopic surgery, laser surgery, orthopedic surgery, dental surgery, and anesthesia. You will also have the opportunity to manage cases involving internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, endocrinology, behaviour therapy, and blood transfusions.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The practice is committed to continuing education and provides the latest technological advances in veterinary medicine to support high-quality patient care. Services include wellness and prevention, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, surgical procedures, urgent care, pet boarding, and pet grooming. The hospital offers a comprehensive small animal caseload in a stable, supportive environment focused on professional growth and compassionate care.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
