Contract Clinician

Youth Ambassadors, Inc. (YA) is seeking to contract with a fully licensed clinician to facilitate in-person cognitive behavioral therapy services for youth ages 14-18 years old as an added component to its youth development leadership training programs. Responsibilities & Duties for Contract Clinicians include: Planning, preparing, and facilitating cognitive behavioral therapy for a group of 10-12 youth for a 6 week program onsite at Youth Ambassadors program locations. Developing learning materials and resources for use by group therapy participants. Establishing and communicating clear objectives for all therapy activities. Working to develop healthy relationships and a positive rapport with Ambassadors through effective communication. Assisting Ambassadors with maintaining positive behavior by establishing and holding youth accountable to rules and procedures. Monitoring and evaluating progress of youth participating in group therapy. Communicating necessary information regularly to Ambassadors and YA staff regarding youth progress, development, and needs. Documenting notes for each therapy session. Qualifications Master's Degree required; licensure and insurance required to provide therapy services in Missouri and/or Kansas. Knowledge of the needs and strengths of youth ages 14-18 and families living in under-resourced and under-invested communities. Commitment to social emotional learning and education. Integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed leadership style. Ability to provide in-person therapy services. Ability to use relevant technology.
