Position Title Laboratory Technician I, Sanger Location South Plainfield, NJ Shift Monday – Friday, 6:30PM – 3AM EST Company Overview Azenta Inc. Responsibilities Adhere to safety protocols and follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and trainer direction in sample handling, project processing, and documentation. Maintain cleanliness of work area, sort incoming samples, and prepare sequencing templates (including amplification and PCR purification). Perform labware washing, collect and package biohazardous/hazardous waste. Communicate with customers and other departments via email and phone in a friendly and professional manner. Assist in purifying sequencing templates and load samples onto sequencing machines. Work with automation platforms when required. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends; alternative shifts with advanced notice are possible. Qualifications High School Diploma required. AAS Degree or equivalent laboratory work experience preferred. At least 1 year of laboratory work experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
