Tactical And Heavy Equipment Mechanic

RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Tactical and Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Niland, California; San Diego, California; Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Poca, West Virginia. This position is contingent upon contract award. Roles and responsibilities include maintaining tactical vehicles built by Oshkosh, AM General, Mack, International, and Freightliner manufacturers, providing support to the automotive and heavy truck equipment, using specialized software to record maintenance actions, track time and document parts ordered and installed, and understanding and following all safety, hazardous material, and facility access regulations.

Required qualifications and experience include being a U.S. citizen, possessing a valid U.S. driver's license, having a Secret security clearance (not required for contractors working at the Poca, West Virginia facility), having five years' experience at an Intermediate-or depot-level military maintenance facility, or having E6 - E7 equivalent military experience maintaining Civil Engineering Support Equipment, possessing an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in diesel engines and at least one other Heavy Truck or Military Tactical Vehicle Wheeled Vehicle categories such as Drive Train; Brakes; Suspension & Steering; Electrical; Heating & A/C and Preventative Maintenance (ASE requirement can be waived with five years of experience as a Depot-Level Shop lead Mechanic or Supervisor), and a Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
