We work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including restaurants, hospitality groups, lifestyle brands, franchises, and growing businesses across the United States.

We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and social media-savvy Digital Content Specialist to join our growing team.

About the Role

As a Digital Content Specialist at Spark Media, you'll be responsible for creating, editing, and managing engaging social media content for multiple client accounts.

You'll work closely with our project managers, creative producers, and senior creative team to bring content ideas to life, from brainstorming concepts and developing shot lists to editing videos, designing graphics, and preparing content for publication.

We're not just looking for someone who knows how to edit videos. We're looking for someone who understands what makes content engaging, knows how to capture attention, and can create content that helps brands stand out on social media.

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, adaptable, and genuinely passionate about social media.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Content Creation & Video Editing

• Create engaging short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
• Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos that align with each client's brand identity.
• Incorporate trending audio, transitions, captions, graphics, and creative storytelling techniques.
• Develop content that captures attention, encourages engagement, and resonates with target audiences.
• Create visually appealing graphics, promotional posts, carousels, and other social media assets.
• Adapt editing styles and creative approaches to suit different brands and industries.
• Ensure all content meets Spark Media's creative and quality standards.

2. Creative Strategy & Content Planning

• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh, creative content ideas.
• Research social media trends, viral content formats, and emerging creative techniques.
• Develop content concepts, video scripts, storyboards, and shot lists.
• Collaborate with project managers and creative producers to plan monthly content calendars.
• Understand each client's brand identity, target audience, and marketing objectives.
• Suggest creative ways to improve content engagement, reach, and overall performance.
• Continuously experiment with new content styles and formats.

3. Content Production & Shoot Coordination

• Prepare creative concepts and shot lists ahead of scheduled content shoots.
• Communicate filming requirements and creative direction to the production team.
• Collaborate with videographers and creative producers to ensure footage meets editing requirements.
• Participate in content shoots when assigned or needed.
• Review incoming footage and identify additional content opportunities.
• Maintain an organized library of footage, images, and creative assets for assigned accounts.

4. Social Media Account Management & Scheduling

• Develop and maintain monthly content calendars for assigned client accounts.
• Write engaging captions that align with each brand's tone and messaging.
• Schedule and publish approved content across relevant social media platforms.
• Ensure all posts are published accurately and on time.
• Monitor social media trends and recommend timely content opportunities.
• Coordinate with project managers regarding upcoming promotions, events, and campaign requirements.
• Prepare content in advance for holidays, special events, and scheduled absences.

5. Quality Control & Collaboration

• Review all content carefully for spelling, formatting, branding, and editing errors.
• Ensure videos and graphics meet platform specifications and brand guidelines.
• Incorporate feedback and revisions from senior editors, project managers, and clients.
• Communicate proactively with team members regarding deadlines and project progress.
• Manage multiple client accounts and creative assignments simultaneously.
• Maintain organized project files and ensure content assets are properly stored.
• Continuously improve editing skills, creative techniques, and production efficiency.
  

Required Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience in social media content creation, video editing, graphic design, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in short-form video editing for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
• Experience using editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
• Experience using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or other graphic design tools.
• Strong understanding of social media trends, viral content formats, and platform best practices.
• Good visual storytelling skills and a strong creative eye.
• Ability to work with different brand identities and adapt content styles accordingly.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and willingness to accept constructive feedback.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a creative team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working at a digital marketing or creative agency.
• Experience creating content for restaurants, hospitality, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
• Familiarity with social media scheduling tools such as Sprout Social.
• Experience developing shot lists, storyboards, and video concepts.
• Basic photography or videography skills.
• Understanding of social media analytics and content performance.
• Experience managing multiple social media accounts.
• Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools and emerging content production technologies.
