Therapist - Occupational Therapist

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide occupational therapy services to patients across inpatient and acute rehab settings, focusing on rehabilitation and restoring daily living and vocational skills. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' needs through comprehensive evaluations and develop personalized Plan of Care (POC).
• Implement and adjust therapy interventions based on patient progress and established standards.
• Document patient assessments, treatment activities, and outcomes accurately in medical records.
• Supervise and mentor therapy assistants and aides, serving as a clinical instructor for students.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members to ensure effective treatment delivery.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, confidentiality, and regulatory policies, including PHI protection.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Possess at least two years of clinical experience in inpatient or rehab settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency with electronic health records, preferably Epic.
• Maintain current BLS certification, with certifications in AHA or equivalent.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and ability to work flexible hours/shifts.
• Comply with background checks and required continuing education for licensure.
