Location: Memphis, TN, US Date Posted: 2026-04-09 Position: Air Traffic Control Instructor (Full‑time) We are seeking an experienced Air Traffic Control Instructor to join the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at Memphis ARTCC (ZME) in Memphis, TN. The role supports FAA air traffic controller training services offering classroom and simulation laboratory instruction to students of all levels, including development level and certified professional controllers. Job Overview The CTS Instructor delivers high quality training through simulation laboratories and classroom sessions, mentors students and Remote Pilot Operators, and contributes to curriculum design and development. The position ensures training meets FAA safety and professional standards. Responsibilities Deliver classroom and simulation laboratory instruction to trainees and veteran air traffic controllers. Develop and execute training scenarios for simulation platforms such as TSS, AT Coach, SGET, etc. Provide mentoring and support to students and Remote Pilot Operators. Assist with curriculum design and development. Interface effectively with FAA personnel to align training with local facility and FAA Air Traffic Control mission. Required Qualifications US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Minimum five (5) years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic or recent experience as a contract instructor at an FAA facility at the same or greater level of ATC facility as Memphis ARTCC (ZME). Desired Skills & Experience Direct experience as a Certified Professional Controller (CPC) at Memphis ARTCC (ZME) preferred. Operational experience with ATC simulators; capable of scenario design for simulation platforms. Proven ability to interface effectively with FAA personnel at all levels. Excellent teaching, classroom management, and a student‑focused drive for continuous improvement. Education High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification with ability to obtain and maintain Instructor‑II Simulation Laboratory and Classroom Certification. #J-18808-Ljbffr SAIC
