Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Rotational Holiday Coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients with complex, actual, or potential life-threatening conditions in an 18-bed ICU setting
• Perform invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring; manage patients with diagnoses including Sepsis, Acute MI, renal conditions, post-vascular procedures, strokes, TIA, seizures, ARDS, and CV procedures
• Titrate critical drips including vasopressors and sedation agents such as Levophed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Insulin
• Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, mechanical ventilation via trach and ET tube, telemetry, and IV pumps; read and interpret telemetry strips independently (no monitor tech on unit)
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2, with occasional 1:3 assignments for overflow or PCU downgrade patients
• Float as needed to Stepdown, Med-Surg/Telemetry, or Emergency Department to care for boarded ICU or Stepdown patients; travelers float in rotation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum two years of critical care (ICU) experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; no travel duo assignments accepted
• Experience with CRRT and IABP required
• Ability to titrate critical drips independently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS, NIHSS, and/or TNCC certifications preferred
• Experience with Impella device preferred
• Experience caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
