Staff Accountant

Building Material Distributors Inc. | BMD - Corporate 225 Elm Ave Galt, CA 95632, USA Prepare journal entries and support month-end close. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets. Prepare internal financial statements and perform financial analysis. Review inventory accounts and resolve discrepancies with operations and IT. Support internal and external audits. Assist with budgeting and financial reporting. Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and solve accounting issues. Maintain accurate accounting documentation and perform other accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1–3 years of accounting experience. Knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation. Familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting. Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Agility and NetSuite preferred); QuickBooks; BlackLine; ASW; or similar. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. CPA preferred or actively pursuing certification. Intercompany reconciliation and consolidation experience is a plus. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
