Job Summary

The Server's primary responsibility is to provide caring hospitality in a full-service restaurant environment while serving food and beverage products.

Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. All schedules contain weekend shifts as part of the requirements. Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability. What You Will Do

• Adhere to company policy and State and Federal regulations regarding service of alcohol including taking all steps necessary to ensure proper age of all persons consuming alcohol served on the premises and refusing to serve any person who appears to be intoxicated or might become intoxicated from consuming additional alcohol.
• Follows Food Division Standards and Best Practices.
• Follow food safety standards and maintain work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
• Follow area specific steps of service, use table and positions numbers to deliver food and beverages in a timely fashion.
• Educate, sample, and serve customers food products.
• Effectively deal with multiple customers and communicate customer requests or concerns to other servers and manager on duty.
• Work with bus and host team to assist in clearing and resetting tables.
• Account for all product served by balancing and recording all sales, turning in accountability forms, charge slips, and cash to manager.
• Answer phones and record reservations when needed.
• Open and close area following appropriate checklist, verifying completion with Manager on Duty prior to leaving the area.
• Follow production guides, maintain stock levels and standards in product presentation.
• Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress code to comply with company and Health Department standards.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Who You Are

• 1-2 years direct experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department.
• May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling and stooping.
• Position may require working in a warm kitchen environment.
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions.
• Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs.
