As an Allied Universal Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $17.75 / Hour Job Schedule DayTime Fri 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM Sat 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document observed activity in accordance with site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, verify access permissions as directed, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel. Support daily operations by assisting with incident reports, following post orders, and communicating clearly with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency responders when needed. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
