Senior Hard FM Manager - Compliance & Site Lead

That means our buildings, systems and assets must work, safely, consistently and compliantly, every day.We’re looking for a Hard Services Manager who’s confident operating in that environment.Job title:Hard Services ManagerJob Description:This role is primarily based at Gloucester Police HQ and Shepherds Road Fire & Rescue site.The challenge you’ll be stepping intoYou’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership and delivery of Hard FM services on a complex, operational site.This isn’t about firefighting for the sake of it. It’s about:Taking ownership of planned and reactive maintenanceEnsuring statutory compliance is robust, visible and audit‑readyLeading engineers and specialist subcontractors with clarity and confidenceSupporting lifecycle and project activity so assets remain fit for purposeActing as a trusted deputy to the Contract Manager when requiredYou’ll be close to the detail, but with enough autonomy to make improvements stick.What you’ll be trusted to doOwn and manage the maintenance and compliance programme, ensuring safety and performance are never compromisedLead and develop the on‑site engineering team, setting clear expectations and standardsManage M&E subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly and to specificationSupport the delivery of lifecycle and project works from planning through to completionCarry out internal audits against M&E, statutory and SFG20 standardsBe a visible, credible technical lead on siteWhat we’re really looking forRather than a long wish‑list, we’re keen to speak to people who can demonstrate:EssentialStrong experience in Hard FM / maintenance management at management levelHands‑on knowledge of statutory compliance, including fire and water regulationsExperience working to SFG20 standardsUnderstanding of lifecycle and project delivery in a live environmentWorking knowledge of BMS systemsConfidence leading engineers and managing specialist subcontractorsDesirableA recognised technical qualificationExperience within PFI or similarly complex contractsIf you’ve been operating as a Hard Services Manager, Engineering Manager, or Senior Supervisor ready for more ownership, we’d like to talk.Why join Tascor?Tascor is part of Capita’s Education & Government Services division.
