Inventory Specialist

Your role as an Inventory Specialist is to ensure the right materials are available at the right time to keep production moving and customer commitments on track. As an Inventory Specialist, you'll use data, planning, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize inventory, maintain accurate SAP records, and continuously improve processes that support operational excellence. You will report to the Order Center Supervisor. You will:

Inventory Management & Optimization

  • Maintain inventory accuracy above 98% through cycle counts, reconciliation, and process improvements.
  • Analyze inventory trends, forecast needs, and adjust reorder points and safety stock levels.
  • Manage SCF6 inventory and identify opportunities for material reuse.

SAP & Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate SAP inventory, including consumptions, scrap transactions, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Troubleshoot inventory issues, manage exception reporting, and support SAP best practices.

Material & Production Planning

  • Release purchase requisitions and production orders for inventory and Kanban materials.
  • Coordinate stock allocations and inventory requirements with Planning, Engineering, and Procurement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead inventory review meetings and partner across functions to address inventory needs and risks.
  • Drive improvements that increase inventory accuracy, material availability, and operational efficiency.

To succeed, you will need:

  • At least 1 year of experience, working with material management, inventory transactions, or a similar role.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control principles, Kanban systems, and cycle counting practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory trends and usage data.
