All-Source Intelligence Analyst Mid Level - CN/CTOC Focus

SMX is seeking a Mid‑Level All‑Source Analyst to counter narcotic (CN) and counter‑transnational organized crime (CTOC) operations to support USSOUTHCOM efforts. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of threat networks, cross‑border criminal activity, and regional dynamics in the Western Hemisphere. This role will support analytical efforts to identify, track, and dismantle transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) and narcotics trafficking networks. SMX team utilizes publicly available information (PAI), non‑traditional intelligence gathering and exploitation methods to provide customers with insight to counter drug (CD) and counter trans‑national organized crime (CTOC). The team utilizes commercial subscriptions, social media, financial transactions, and open‑sourced geospatial data to identify, disrupt, and interdict trans‑national threat networks responsible for illicit drug trafficking, illicit financial flows, and the illicit trafficking of people, wildlife, natural resources, and weapons. Security clearance requirement: TS/SCI clearance (required); citizen of US required for DoD contracts. Application Deadline: May 4, 2026 Research, author, and disseminate intelligence products in accordance with the latest ODNI Intelligence Community Directive 203 (ICD‑203) Collaborate with senior analysts within the Intelligence Community, interagency partners, law enforcement, and partner nations to facilitate information sharing, identify collection opportunities, and support the USSOUTHCOM Commander’s Priority Intelligence Requirements Coordinate across USSOUTHCOM elements, alongside senior analysts, to present analytic findings to senior leaders, interagency partners, and partner nation counterparts Core responsibilities include Analyze industry, market, and government‑provided data to identify threat networks Support fusion of HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, and FININT into intelligence products Conduct all‑source analysis on networks such as Transnational Criminal Organizations, Foreign Terrorist Organizations, and Violent Extremist Organizations designated by the USSOUTHCOM Commander Assist in campaign and mission briefings, HVI analysis, nodal mapping, and ISR planning Provide input aligned with government intelligence objectives Prepare threat network intelligence products and contribute to targeting packages Conduct nodal and network analysis and document/media exploitation Develop and deliver intelligence findings at tactical and operational levels Support production related to threat awareness, force protection, and indications and warnings Participate in secure meetings, VTCs, and interagency engagements; report findings in written and verbal formats Contribute to investigations through analysis, deconfliction, and target development Required qualifications TS/SCI clearance Bachelor’s degree in intelligence, criminal justice, international relations, or a related field Demonstrated understanding of threat network analysis and network development Strong understanding of law enforcement intelligence frameworks, targeting processes, and regulatory environments (e.g., Title 10/50/18/21 authorities) Excellent writing, briefing, and interpersonal skills Proficiency with intelligence analysis tools and databases (e.g., Palantir, Analyst Notebook, TAC, etc.) Proven expertise in Latin America regional dynamics, cross‑border smuggling methods, and TCO tactics Demonstrated experience working with interagency and joint task forces supporting border security or counterdrug operations Desired qualifications Minimum of 3 years’ experience in all‑source intelligence analysis, with at least 1 year focused on CN/CTOC issues Experience utilizing analysis toolsets including but not limited to: Analyst Notebook Experience with PAI or All Source analytic principles Experience with search techniques, information databases, data visualization, and related tools Knowledge of other intelligence disciplines, including signals intelligence (SIGINT), human intelligence (HUMINT), Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Open‑Source Intelligence (OSINT) SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, federal government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications. The proposed salary for this position is $100,000 USD – $123,000 USD. This position offers health insurance, paid leave, and retirement benefits.
