Job Summary: Shipping/Receiving Associate:

As a Shipping/Receiving Associate: you will have a wide range of responsibilities that contribute to the company's smooth operations. Your primary focus will be on accurately recording all shipping and receiving activities and ensuring timely transportation of materials.

Responsibilities: Shipping/Receiving Associate:

· Safely operate company vehicles to transport raw materials between production locations and if needed customers

· Ensure timely pickup and delivery of materials to meet production schedules.

· Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.

· Utilize the ERP system to record and track all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

· Receive incoming shipments, verifying the contents against purchase orders and packing lists.

· Inspect received materials for any damage or discrepancies, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.

· Sign for packages and deliveries, ensuring that all necessary documentation is properly completed.

· Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper secure packaging and labeling according to customer and carrier requirements.

· Coordinate with internal teams, including Production, Purchasing, and Quality Control, to ensure materials are received and shipped in a timely manner.

· Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in physical inventory reconciliations to maintain accurate inventory levels.

· Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.

· Communicate effectively with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring on-time transportation of goods.

· Respond to inquiries and provide support regarding shipping, receiving, and transportation-related matters to internal and external stakeholders.

· Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures related to shipping, receiving, and transportation.

· Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements in shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities.

Requirements: Shipping/Receiving Associate:

· A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

· Proven experience as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk or professional driver, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

· Familiarity with safe driving practices, traffic laws, and shipping and receiving regulations.

· Strong proficiency in using ERP systems for shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple shipments, records, and inventory levels accurately.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, customers, carriers, and freight forwarders.

· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and the ability to quickly learn new software tools.

· Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of materials.

· Must be able to lift 45lbs unassisted, repeatedly in an 8-hour shift.

· Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and transportation needs.
