Construction Safety Coordinator Location Newton Upper Falls, MA Duration 3+ Months (Start: 5/19) Type 1099 Contractor Position Details Hourly Rate: $45/hr (Local) Per Diem: n/a local candidates only Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule: 48 hours, M-Thurs (4) 10's and Friday 8 Project Scope The Construction Safety Coordinator will oversee a multi-level steel erection project. Qualifications (Required) OSHA 30 Steel erection experience preferred Key Responsibilities Conduct routine safety audits, site inspections, and risk assessments across multiple project sites Lead incident investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions Deliver safety orientations and ongoing training for employees, subcontractors, and new hires Partner with project management and field teams to identify and mitigate safety risks proactively Maintain accurate safety documentation, including incident reports, inspections, and compliance records Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all levels of the project team Skills Strong communication and public speaking abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities Ability to work both independently and within a team environment High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information Knowledge In-depth understanding of EHS principles and construction safety regulations Ability to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards and best practices Familiarity with mechanical construction safety, particularly underground piping operations Equal Opportunity Employer: Sheakley is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, marital status, national origin, disability, or any other protected status.
