We strengthen community through educational leadership and collaboration. Position : Part‑Time Workforce Continuing Education Instructor; Location : ATC 3200 W. Cuthbert Avenue, Midland, TX 79701; Status : Part Time. Job Summary : Successfully instruct designated electrical courses and assist with the creation of course curriculum. Required Qualifications : Minimum of three years of field experience as an electrician Active electrician’s license through an appropriate state agency (licensed journeyman) OSHA certification Availability to instruct in afternoons or evenings Preferred Qualifications : Master electrician license Prior classroom or on‑the‑job teaching experience Essential Functions : Prepare and communicate clear educational objectives while presenting current and accurate course content to the student Maintain a professional teaching environment Communicate with the Training Coordinator regarding room, media and copy needs Maintain control of purchased supplies for class Provide students with evaluation forms for completion Other duties as assigned Physical Demands : Ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, and other equipment Frequently move equipment or paperwork weighing up to 50 pounds Remain in a stationary position 50 % of the time; capable of moving from office to classroom Use of manual dexterity; repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Frequently communicate with others, exchanging accurate information Occasional outdoors duties; ability to work extended hours and attend Midland College or community events Salary : $40.00 per hour (fixed).
