Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother Baby Position Summary: The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, plans and implements patient and family education, and is responsible for assessing patient needs while initiating appropriate interventions. Minimum Qualifications: Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse) American Heart Association BLS certification STABLE certification Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (recertification required every 2 years) Competence in and willingness to practice modified primary nursing Preferred Qualifications: L&D experience (antepartum, intrapartum, preop, circulate, PACU) preferred Essential Job Functions: Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health (Assessment) Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis) Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient (Plan of Care) Develop and implement a plan that prescribes strategies to achieve expected outcomes Promote health and maintain a safe environment Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice Achieve and maintain knowledge and competency reflecting current nursing practices Evaluate personal nursing practice in relation to professional standards and guidelines Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and others in nursing practice Incorporate ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice Apply research findings to practice Provide leadership within the professional practice setting Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and professionalism at all times Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment Problem-solving skills and effective decision-making abilities Ability to work varied shifts as necessary Exhibit tact, discretion, and sensitivity while maintaining confidentiality Self-directed and capable of completing assignments accurately and thoroughly Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills Keen awareness and adherence to stroke competency protocols Participates in required continuing education for cerebrovascular disease Schedule Requirements: This role requires regular and sustained attendance. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. Holiday coverage is required.
