Support Nurse (LPN) Community: Parkway Gardens by Americare Senior Living Community Type: Assisted Living and Memory Care Location: Fairview Heights, IL Shifts Available: Days (some travel and overnights required) Employment Type: Full time Pay: $31.25 to $33.65, mileage & hotel reimbursement, OT eligible, no on‑call requirement Summary The Support Nurse (LPN or RN) provides direct resident care and short‑term clinical support to Assisted Living communities as assigned. This role supports continuity of care, staff supervision, and resident well‑being while ensuring compliance with state regulations, Americare policies, and best practices in person‑centered care. What You’ll Do Provide direct nursing care to residents during short‑term assignments Support a home‑like, person‑centered care environment Supervise and support caregiving staff to meet residents’ physical, psychological, and social needs Assist with resident assessments, care planning, and monitoring of changes in condition Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established protocols Collaborate with community leadership and senior leadership during assigned support periods Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Promote resident dignity, safety, and quality of life Uphold Americare’s Mission, Vision, Home Town Hospitality philosophy, and F.A.M.I.L.Y. Values What You Bring Education Graduate of an approved school of nursing Licensure / Certification Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license required Maintains current state registration and required continuing education Experience & Skills Experience in assisted living, memory care, or long‑term care preferred Strong clinical judgment and adaptability Ability to supervise staff and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams Effective communication and interpersonal skills Commitment Passion for senior care and resident‑centered service Alignment with Americare’s mission, values, and culture Flexibility to support multiple communities as needed Physical Demands Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.
