Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Janesville, Wisconsin. This role is situated within a dynamic Med-Surg unit, providing specialized care to adult patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying the full nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. This involves administering medications and treatments, meticulous documentation, and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

This position requires a commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes, along with the ability to adapt to varying unit needs, including potential floating to other departments as required by the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive care to Med-Surg Ortho/Neuro patients.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established policies, procedures, and state practice acts.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to other units/departments as needed.
• Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Float to other units as required by facility needs.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional nursing experience in Med-Surg, Orthopedics, or Neurology.
