Located in Newport Beach, CA we are a small but mighty boutique law firm seeking an experienced Estate Planning & Probate Attorney to join our collaborative and client-focused growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with sophisticated estate planning matters, trust administration, probate proceedings, and related fiduciary issues while partnering closely with senior attorneys.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in estate planning, trusts, and probate matters, fearless when it comes to litigation, and a passion for helping clients navigate important life and legacy planning decisions.

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients regarding estate planning strategies, asset protection, wealth transfer, and fiduciary matters
• Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments
• Advise clients regarding trust administration and probate procedures
• Represent clients in probate and trust-related disputes, including fiduciary matters and contested proceedings
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and discovery responses
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to advance client matters efficiently
• Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the legal process
• Manage case deadlines, documentation, and workflow with strong attention to detail

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active California Bar license in good standing
• 2+ years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, probate, or related practice areas
• Litigation experience (or fearless when thinking about the topic if no prior hands on experience)
• Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients during sensitive and emotionally charged situations
• Experience handling matters involving wills, trusts, estates, fiduciary duties, and probate proceedings preferred

We offer a comprehensive compensation package including but not limited to:

• A base salary ranging from $175K-$200K
