About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Marquette, Michigan, 49855!

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations (ages 18+)
• Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care with minimal supervision
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health record system
• Maintain patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 in a fast-paced, stressful acute care environment
• Float occasionally to like units as needed

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate, timely action
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

• Prior experience on a Medical/Surgical unit strongly preferred
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and IV pump management
• Experience with Cerner EHR
