Polisher

Pay: $18-20/hr.

Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:30am to 3:30pm; Friday 5am to 9am (mandatory OT)

Description:

• The Polishers will be polishing large stainless-steel automotive parts by hand or machine in a sheet metal shop environment.

Requirements:

• Background in sheet metal, autobody, and/or foundry experience is a plus
• Ability to work in repetitive movements; requiring good dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Must be able to stand for 10 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled shop environment
• Required to wear proper PPE equipment including a Respirator helmet when working
• Experienced using hand and power tools
• Ability to work OT when needed

Job Duties:

• Handle and prepare parts for performing polishing operations with machine polishers and hand tools on metal fenders.
• Operate polishing equipment such as hand files, grinders, disks, rotary sanders and abrasive wheels.
• Remove bumps or indentations in the metal parts without stretching or cutting through the finished piece with care to maintain contours, edges and dimensions.
• Locate and gather materials and supplies needed, check material for correctness and quality.
