Job Description
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and sleep studies
- Administer and monitor various forms of respiratory therapy, including oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and inhalation therapy
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, breathing techniques, and the use of respiratory equipment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and sleep technologists, to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in respiratory therapy and continuously improve patient care processes
