Locums - Onamia, Minnesota, Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Opening Start Date ASAP Contract Length 3 Months Ongoing Schedule Monday - Sunday Mid Shift Coverage Noon start time Open to 8-hour, 9-hour, or 10-hour shifts Coverage need: 2 FTE Practice Setting Hospital Critical Access Emergency Department Level IV Trauma Center Coverage Details 20-30 patients per day Patient population includes all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics Six babies born within the last six months in the community 24-hour physician support available onsite or within a five-minute drive Additional Physician Assistant onsite during mid shifts Department Information Emergency Department 57-bed hospital 7 ED rooms 2 trauma bays capable of accommodating up to 4 patients each Specialty Backup Available Family Medicine Physician Emergency Medicine Physician Telemedicine support through VEL Cardiology support via telehealth Stroke support via telehealth In-house ambulance transfers available Helipad access for transfers to higher-level trauma centers EMR Athena (Clinic) Medhost EDIS (Primary ED system) Training available on Medhost and EDIS Required Skills Emergency ultrasound experience required Requirements Board Certified Physician Assistant required Active Minnesota license required DEA required PALS required APLS required BLS required ACLS required ATLS or CALS required Minimum of 3 years Emergency Medicine experience required Credentialing Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days Why Minnesota?
