Pay: $23.55 per hour Accounting Specialist/ Accounts Payable – DIRECT HIRE Pay: $23.55 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Employment Type: Full-Time

Education Requirements High school diploma required. Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Experience Requirements Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experience required. Experience processing invoices, matching purchase orders, and maintaining accounting records. Experience with Sage accounting software or similar ERP/accounting systems preferred. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience posting journal entries and accounts receivable payments. Knowledge of general accounting principles and month-end accounting processes. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy. Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments. Experience working in an office environment required.

Physical Capabilities Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday. Ability to use computers, telephones, and standard office equipment for extended periods. Ability to handle filing, paperwork, and general office duties. Ability to maintain focus and accuracy while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

Job Duties Perform administrative office duties including answering phones, processing mail, and ordering office supplies. Provide Accounts Payable support by entering invoices into Sage and matching invoices to purchase orders. Communicate with vendors via phone and email regarding invoices, payments, and account questions. Investigate and resolve invoice processing discrepancies and payment issues. Prepare vendor checks and maintain payment documentation. File, maintain, and distribute accounting records, reports, and supporting documents. Support accounting and finance functions, including audits and financial reporting activities. Post journal entries to the General Ledger. Post accounts receivable payments accurately and timely. Assist with month-end accounting processes and journal entries. Maintain accurate accounting records and reports. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain an organized work environment. Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
