Position Overview Position title: Psychiatry Clinical Faculty Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $93,700 - $246,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. UC Salary information can be found here: 2025-2026 Academic Salary Scales. Responsibilities The selected candidates will: provide clinical care; teach in various educational programs, including lecturing and mentoring; embrace a culture of excellence and innovation; and have an interest in clinical scholarship within the Department and/or research. The clinical focus will align with one or more areas of expertise, including general adult, geriatrics, child and adolescent, consult‑liaison, addiction psychiatry, eating disorders, community or public sector psychiatry, college mental health, women’s mental health, neuromodulation, post‑traumatic stress, and other specialty programs. Clinical settings may include inpatient, outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs. Basic Qualifications Must have an MD, DO, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent in the areas of neuropsychiatric disorders. MD, DO, or equivalent must be board eligible or board certified in General Adult, Geriatric, Child and Adolescent, Consult‑Liaison, or Addiction Psychiatry. MD, DO, or equivalent must be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit, and must maintain or be eligible to obtain an unrestricted DEA number to practice in the U.S. PsyD, PhD, or equivalent must have graduated from an APA‑accredited doctoral program, which includes completion of an APA‑accredited internship, and must have or be eligible for a license from the California Board of Psychology.
