Salary commensurate with experience* Job Title: Junior Business Analyst Location: 2 Broadway, New York, NY (Hybrid - 3 days onsite/2 days remote) Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension) Start Date: August 15, 2026 W2 Hourly Rate: $48/hour Application Deadline: July 31, 2026 Overview: We are seeking a Junior Business Analyst who will support our public-sector client by coordinating project activities, analyzing business and data needs, and improving operational processes. The role will leverage Microsoft 365, Visio, Excel, and Power BI to organize information, develop clear documentation and visualizations, and support effective stakeholder collaboration and project delivery. Duties: Coordinate project activities, meetings, documentation, and follow-up items based on subject matter expert availability and project needs. Gather, organize, and analyze business, process, and data requirements to support project planning and operational improvements. Document current-state and future-state processes, workflows, and business requirements using Microsoft Visio and other Microsoft 365 tools. Create and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, permissions, and access controls to support secure information sharing and collaboration. Organize Microsoft Teams channels, files, and collaboration structures, and support document management across Teams and OneDrive. Use Excel to clean and analyze data, create pivot tables, apply lookup functions, and prepare clear project and business reports. Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and data visualizations that communicate project status, trends, and business insights. Prepare presentations, status updates, meeting materials, and stakeholder communications using PowerPoint and Outlook. Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and support the implementation of practical business solutions. Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and subject matter experts to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and support timely delivery. Mandatory Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in roles involving project coordination, process improvement, or business/data analysis. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Hands-on SharePoint experience, including site creation, document libraries, and access control. Experience organizing Microsoft Teams channel structures and managing files within Teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Visio. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data cleaning. Proficiency with Power BI, including dashboard development and data visualization. Ready to make a difference?
