Data Center EHS Manager Full Time, Dedicated, Barstow, TX, United States. This position is on‑site and listed in Barstow, TX. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and update site specific Safety Plans. Develop, implement, and update site specific Emergency Action Plans. Develop and implement site safety training plans and provide training to all data center staff, continually assessing training effectiveness. Develop site specific safety orientation for contractors and visitors to the data center. Schedule and conduct site safety audits and inspections to identify hazards. Schedule and conduct Emergency Action Plan drills. Complete comprehensive audit and inspection reports, including corrective action plans. Establish and lead the Site Safety Committee. Establish the Site Safety Champions program. Establish the site First Responder team and training requirements. Investigate and analyze work‑related incidents, accidents, injuries, illnesses, near misses, and implement measures to prevent recurrence. Analyze job and activity EHS risk scenarios; ensure all Job and Task Hazard Analyses are completed prior to work assignments. Support EHS submissions for customer SOQs and RFQs. Review General Contractor Project‑Specific Safety Plans for compliance with customer requirements, OSHA, NFPA, and EPA standards. Serve as the first point of contact for incident escalation in the Data Center; advise data center leadership and Salute VO of Global EHS during incident investigations and root cause analyses. Maintain environmental permits and programs to ensure compliance with all applicable agencies. Track universal waste recycling. Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual sustainability reporting to the site manager and customer. Maintain frequent interaction with VP of Global EHS, Data Center management, representatives of federal and state agencies, and other safety professionals. Perform all other EHS duties and initiatives as assigned. Additional Accountabilities Track training compliance for staff to ensure 100% completion of required safety training, third‑party instruction, and a database of all required safety certifications. Maintain 100% adherence to Salute safety culture and best safety practices. Adhere to Behavior Based Safety practices. Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Associate’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health. 5+ years of Safety Management Experience. Experience creating site specific safety plans that encompass all OSHA requirements. Experience creating Emergency Action Plans following NFPA 1600 guidelines. Experience with Safety Management Systems that track incident safety metrics. Experience compiling and managing key EHS performance indicators. Experience with Workers Compensation Claims and Case Management. Experience with Universal Waste Management. Experience with commercial building operations. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Experience working in a team environment but comfortable working alone with little direction. Experience working independently and within a group, excellent time‑management, strategic planning, and ability to pivot between competing priorities and situations. Experience building and fostering a Culture of Safety within an organization. Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E and LOTO program requirements. Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local EPA, OSHA, and NFPA regulations. Strong working knowledge of Incident investigation, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective actions. Strong working knowledge of Behavior Based Safety practices. Familiarity with Construction Safety and Net Zero Waste concepts and program initiatives. Proof of Safety Certification from BCSP, NASP, or an affiliated college certification program. Proof of OSHA 30‑Hour General or Construction Industry Training. Proficiency with Microsoft Applications. Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or a related field with a concentration in safety. Experience in changing management principles. Experience in datacenter safety management. Military Veteran or Retiree. Proficiency in conducting Job Hazard Analysis for all job functions within a facility. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40 lb. Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment‑related tasks. Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergencies and navigate areas quickly. Ability to move quickly and efficiently within various work environments. Good hand‑eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors. Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses. Ability to differentiate between color‑coded warning signs, labels, and cables. Ability to work in environments with varying temperature conditions throughout the facility. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow. Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection. Possession of a valid driver’s license for work‑related travel, as required. Pay Range and Location Salary: $85,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and company size.
