Obstetric Anesthesiologist

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Anesthesiology seeks an obstetric anesthesiologist (ranks available: assistant professor, associate professor, or professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of obstetric anesthesiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed anesthesiology residency program, as well as an obstetric anesthesiology fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in anesthesiology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. WVU Anesthesiology has the largest anesthesia practice in the state, and is the only anesthesiology residency-training program. The department has more than 150 credentialed clinicians. Major divisions include cardiovascular, pediatric, neuro, ambulatory anesthesia and pain medicine. The department and institution are growing, and plan to add clinicians during the next year.
