Palliative Care Physician

Overview West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seeks a Palliative Care Physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill duties at these additional sites. Duties The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Palliative Care medicine and actively involve in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The candidate will provide patient and family‑centered care to improve quality of life for patients with life‑limiting illnesses, including inpatient, outpatient, and local nursing home services. Qualifications MD, DO, or foreign equivalent and eligible for state medical license. Completed residency in internal medicine or family medicine and a fellowship in palliative care by the time of appointment. Board certified or eligible in Palliative Medicine. All listed qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. Location Morgantown, West Virginia; additional travel to West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania may be required.
