Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role involves delivering high-quality care to patients following surgical procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients' recovery post-anesthesia, ensuring safety, and providing support throughout the recovery process.

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (10:30 AM - 9:00 PM)
• Assignment Length: 8 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2-week period
• Weekends Required: No
• Call Required: No
• Float Required: Yes

Patient Population

The RN will care for a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The caseload will include same-day surgeries, in-patient admissions, and observation patients. Types of surgeries may include:

• Vascular
• General Surgery
• Orthopedic
• Pediatric
• Urology
• Gynecology
• Neuro/Spine
• Podiatry
• Ophthalmology
• Thoracic
• Trauma
• Bariatric
• ENT
• Oral Surgery
• Plastics
• Cardiovascular Lab
• Interventional Radiology

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Previous PACU experience is preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication and time-management skills
