Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated production associates looking for a long-term career opportunity. You will operate highly automated machinery in a clean electronics manufacturing facility, creating printed circuit boards (PCBs). Good mechanical skills and the ability to read standard operating procedures (SOPs) and blueprints are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated electronics assembly equipment such as selective solder machines, wave solder machines, solder fountain machines, PCB depaneling machines, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Train others in the operation of automated electronics assembly equipment.
• Set up, load, perform necessary adjustments and maintenance of machinery, and train others to do the same.
• Perform thorough inspection and verification of component placement prior to using machinery.
• Read, understand, and follow assembly documentation and train others to do the same.
• Ensure the line is run in strict accordance with the correct revision of assembly documentation.
• Adhere to area work instructions and assembly documentation and train others.
• Identify and submit ways to improve processes.
• Complete and maintain required training and certifications including IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
• Work in and promote a team environment.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with fellow employees, supervisors, and other departments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area according to 5S standards.
• Comply with company core values and motto.
• Assist in other areas and inform management of lack of work as needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to meet or exceed key job responsibilities, compliance, and non-conformance handling duties.
• High School diploma or equivalent GED.
• Minimum Associate's Degree or 3 months working experience in skilled manufacturing assembly operator roles.
• Understanding of electronic component, PCB, and equipment terminologies.
• Proficient computer skills; familiarity with MS-Office suites, especially Word and Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and on teams.
• Ability to work any required shift, including weekends or night shifts and overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with operation of automated equipment for IPC Class 2, Class 3, and J-Standard specifications.
• Knowledge in IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-600.
• Working knowledge of J-STD-001 and IPC 7711/7721.

Work Environment

Work in a clean and organized electronics manufacturing facility. Employees have their own workstations and are required to wear smocks and shoe straps while on the production floor. The work schedule is Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Meridian, ID.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
