Locums Primary Care Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Primary Care Physician specializing in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine to provide locum tenens coverage at an outpatient clinic in Hyannis, Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver comprehensive primary care in a structured weekday schedule while serving the nation's Veterans.

Compensation:$140-$150

Position Highlights

Practice Setting: Outpatient Primary Care Clinic

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

No Call

No Weekends

Approximately 95% of time dedicated to direct patient care

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services for adult patients.

Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions.

Perform preventive health screenings and wellness evaluations.

Diagnose and manage common illnesses and injuries, including:

Minor wounds and burns

Respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses

Musculoskeletal injuries

Dermatologic conditions

Ear, nose, and throat disorders

Eye conditions

Urologic concerns

Manage chronic diseases including:

Diabetes (Type I & II)

Hypertension

Hyperlipidemia

Coronary artery disease

Atherosclerotic vascular disease

PTSD

Depression and other chronic behavioral health conditions

Order and interpret diagnostic testing and communicate results in accordance with established clinical guidelines.

Prescribe medications in compliance with facility policies and evidence-based standards.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

Complete timely and accurate electronic medical documentation.

Qualifications

MD or DO

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia

Active DEA registration

National Provider Identifier (NPI)

Clear Office of Inspector General (OIG) status
