Our organization is looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to become part of the well-established team at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Missouri, situated about an hour from St. Louis.

Hospital Affiliation:

Parkland Health Center includes a full-service acute-care hospital in Farmington and a three-bed critical access hospital in Bonne Terre, serving the residents of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri. The Farmington campus provides a comprehensive range of services, including inpatient medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics, geriatric psychiatry, and emergency services. Outpatient services feature a wound care clinic and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center.

Role Purpose

The physician will deliver professional medical services within their specialty to the best of their ability through direct patient care, while also dedicating time to complete related tasks such as maintaining medical records, providing MyChart consultations, managing in-basket communications, conducting patient-specific education, and collaborating with advanced practice providers and care team members.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the medical care of a patient panel by providing or arranging for inpatient hospital care, either through regular hospital rounds or by coordinating with hospitalists or other qualified physicians to ensure coverage for hospitalized patients in accordance with Medical Staff requirements.
• Work collaboratively with patients, families, and care team members to ensure optimal patient care outcomes at designated clinic locations.
• Conduct and document medical histories and physical examinations in the patient's medical record as mandated by hospital medical staff bylaws.
• Provide or arrange for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage in a manner acceptable to the organization and in compliance with Medical Staff bylaws, while adhering to all policies, procedures, and applicable legal, ethical, and professional standards.
• Collaborate with and mentor advanced practice providers, support staff, or any care team members involved in the care of the physician's patient panel.
• This position has been identified as safety-sensitive. Maintaining a constant state of alertness and working safely is a fundamental aspect of this role.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Doctorate in Medicine
• Experience: Less than 2 years
• Supervisor Experience: No prior experience required
• Licenses & Certifications: Board Eligible or Board Certified in the practicing specialty; Licensed Physician

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience: 2-5 years
