Duties
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring using advanced techniques such as balayage or ombre.
- Provide expert consultations to recommend personalized treatments and styles aligned with clients’ preferences and features.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Utilize salon software to, schedule appointments, manage client records, process retail sales, and upsell products effectively.
- Educate clients on hair care routines, retail products, and new trends to foster loyalty and increase retail sales.
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing check-in/check-out processes, and supporting store management tasks when needed.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, color theory, hair threading, and retail sales strategies to promote a collaborative environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a hairstylist or cosmetologist with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in hair styling, coloring, and extensions.
- Certification in Cosmetology or Barbering from an accredited program; additional training in nail care or makeup is a plus.
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Strong communication skills to understand client needs clearly and provide professional recommendations.
- Experience in retail sales techniques including upselling products such as hair treatments or styling tools to enhance revenue.
