Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing Speech-Language Pathology services for a close-knit elementary community near beautiful Buzzards Bay, MA. This full-time assignment covers a medical leave from October 26 through December 22, offering a chance to make a genuine impact with K-3rd grade students at a single, well-supported school site.
You’ll work a consistent schedule Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a dedicated lunch break and extra time allotted on Tuesdays and Thursdays for report writing, supporting both your focus and work-life balance. You’ll support a manageable caseload of 26 students, collaborating with staff and families to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP license in Massachusetts
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working in a school setting with K-3 populations is highly valued
- Strong skills in evaluation, diagnosis, and delivery of speech/language therapy services
- Excellent organization and written documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, intervention, and consultation services for students K-3rd grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Liaise with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure collaborative support for students
- Maintain thorough case notes and complete report writing, utilizing dedicated administrative time
