Lead Systems EngineerThe Systems Engineering team provides Wind Turbine system expertise while leading development of new products, turbine RTS activities, and strategic projects. The team owns system level trade-off decisions and continuous improvement in product development processes for the Wind product portfolio. As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will lead the technical execution of one or more New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from initiation through to validation. Sometimes this will be done in parallel with separate programs in separate phases. These will support the MWC Platform overall objectives to create world-class wind turbine products.Roles and ResponsibilitiesProvide wind turbine system expertise through all phases of product development, including requirements definition, design and development, validation, and product life-cycle supportLead technical program teams on all system trade-offs and optimizations with a focus on the reduction of landed cost of electricityOwn turbine-level requirements; contribute and approve subsystem requirementsOwn and drive risk management for technical program team including ownership of the Systems DFMEAContribute to and approve customer facing technical documentsCommunicate and provide recommendations through analysis, preparation and presentation of technical material to internal and external audiencesDrive simplification and standardization of best practices into engineering analysis, validation, and design executionRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 4 years of experience in Engineering/TechnologyDesired CharacteristicsMinimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system-related projectsAbility to break-down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision makingSystem or product-level mindsetConceptual design and/or system-level trade-off experienceField issues, test and/or validation experienceRequirements definition, decomposition, and/or translation experienceEffective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
