Our staff are also eligible for the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program.What the Assistant Teacher does:The Assistant Teacher supports classroom programming and instruction for students, working closely with teachers and program staff to ensure a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.The Assistant Teacher assists with:Supporting individual, small-group, and whole-class instruction as directed by the teacherAssisting in daily classroom organization, planning, and preparationMonitoring and recording student behavior data and progressAssisting with point sheets, reports, and classroom documentationImplementing individualized behavior programs and classroom systemsSupervising students to ensure safety at all times, including bus duty, off-campus activities, and transitionsSupporting vocational programming as needed in coordination with the vocational teamSupervising the classroom in the absence of the teacher when assignedCommunicating with PHILLIPS staff and supporting collaboration across the teamAssisting with medication administration, data collection, and other program-related tasksAttending meetings, trainings, and professional development as requiredPerforming other duties as assignedWhat the Assistant Teacher brings to the team:Bachelor’s Degree preferredExperience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school or special education settingInterest or experience in vocational or hands-on learning environments is a plusAbility to support students with behavioral and emotional needs in a structured settingStrong communication, teamwork, and organizational skillsReliable, consistent, and able to work as part of a collaborative team #J-18808-Ljbffr PHILLIPS Programs
