Ship Fitter

Responsibilities Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs, and tests mechanical equipment and related devices. Troubleshoots and corrects structural placement. Makes recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems. May provide operation and maintenance instruction to customer personnel. Performs preventative maintenance. Participates in special projects, as required. Qualifications Education: Associate's Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. Experience: 3+ years of related experience supporting engineering operations. 1–3 years of directly related experience. Skills: Blueprints, Electrical Installations, Shipyards. Certifications: May require TAC welding certification. US Citizenship Required. Clearance: None required or to obtain. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $26.35 - $35.65 (actual pay based on experience, location, and contractual requirements).
