Job Description
The Drop Bury Technician plays a crucial role in the telecommunications industry by installing and maintaining underground cable systems. This position involves working independently at various sites, reporting directly to the Field Supervisor, and requires frequent travel to different locations. The technician uses personal tools to perform tasks such as cable installation, fiber splicing, trenching, and cable burying to ensure reliable telecommunications infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Install underground telecommunications cables
- Perform fiber splicing to join fiber optic cables
- Bury cables safely and efficiently
- Conduct trenching activities for cable placement
- Travel frequently between job sites
- Work independently following Field Supervisor instructions
- Utilize personal tools to complete tasks
