Quality Inspector

Job Summary Quality Inspector ensures that products and materials meet established quality standards through inspection, testing, and documentation. The role reviews products and materials during manufacturing to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations. Benefits Competitive pay Quarterly incentive pay Workplace that values skill and growth Opportunity to support the Department of Defense mission Brand‑new 70,000 square‑foot facility Duties and Responsibilities Inspect Products and Materials: Conduct visual inspections and use measurement tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and specifications, including CMM, Faro dimensional inspections, height, length, ID/OD, true position, runout, concentricity, flatness, thread standards, and roundness. Testing and Quality Checks: Perform inspections to identify defects, deviations, or non‑conforming products and actively participate in troubleshooting and recommending adjustments to production processes. Documentation: Verify part traceability, paperwork accuracy, and configuration to the correct drawing revision; record inspection results, maintain logs, and input data into quality databases; perform 100% dimensional and visual First Article Inspections in accordance with drawings, technical instructions, and AS9100 requirements. Collaboration: Work with manufacturing teams to prevent defects, improve processes, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Gauge Calibration: Ensure measurement gauges are calibrated, maintained, and functioning properly; coordinate external calibrations, source inspections, and quality audits with customers, suppliers, and governmental agencies. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment. Reporting Relationships Quality Manager Employment Details FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen Work Experience: 1–10 years in quality control or a related field Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; A.S. degree, technical certification in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), metrology or related field preferred. Physical Demands: Sit, stand, use hands, arms, and fingers for routine tasks; normal vision and hearing; ability to communicate effectively in English; basic math skills; warehouse environment may have odors and noise. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Attention to Detail: Detect minor defects and inconsistencies that could affect product quality. Technical Knowledge: Understand quality control methods, blueprints, Microsoft Office 365, netInspec, Discuss, Zeiss Calypso, Faro Cam 2, and product specifications. Problem‑Solving: Identify and resolve quality issues efficiently, collaborating to determine causes and develop corrective actions. Communication: Strong oral and written skills to report findings and coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams.
