Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a meaningful career supporting students in elementary and PreK-8th grade settings in the greater Tinley Park, IL area for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity begins on August 18th and runs through June 4th, with the potential for slight adjustment based on emergency make-up days. You'll collaborate closely with a fellow school psychologist, splitting a manageable caseload of 180 students. Your primary focus will be helping children thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

Candidates who meet current Illinois licensure standards (PEL required) and have prior experience working as a school psychologist are sought after for this rewarding, full-time position. Recent graduates are not being considered at this time.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
  • Prior experience as a school psychologist within educational settings (no new grads)
  • Familiarity with PreK-8th grade populations and diverse learning needs
  • Strong assessment, intervention, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Develop and help implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct and indirect counseling, support, and interventions
  • Lead or participate in meetings regarding student evaluation, eligibility, and progress
  • Analyze data to inform instructional and behavioral strategies
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to promote positive student outcomes

This is a full-time role (35-37 hours/week) with flexible start and end times—either 8:00am-4:00pm or 7:30am-3:30pm—allowing for some flexibility in your workday.
